Pregnant & New Teen Parents Group

If you're pregnant & somewhere in your teens, 20's, a first time mom, or just someone who wants support and encouragement, you're perfect for this group.

Have questions? Scared? Annoyed?
Tired of feeling singled out?
How about just plain tired...

Pregnancy can be complicated but it can also be amazing and fun!

The Highlands Ranch/South Denver Teen Parents To Be Meetup Group is a group of people interested in supporting teens who are about to become or have recently become parents. Members will find support and resources, and most of all a safe place to be among friends.

Come and join us for a time of sharing birth stories, future birth plans and related questions
& answers. Be a friend, make a friend, and expect an environment of peace and acceptance.

This group is for anyone who supports our teens, whether you are the expectant mama or daddy, friend, or the parent of a pregnant teen!

Currently our meetings are as requested.

Contact us if you need a ride.

Homebirth Meetup Group

A community of families interested in giving birth in their home. Held at various locations around Park Meadows, members will find support and resources for local midwives, doulas, parenting education and other related services.

Come and join us for a time of sharing birth stories, future birth plans and birth questions/answers.

This group is for anyone who supports women & our natural ability to grow and birth babies, whether you are an expectant mama, daddy, partner, friend or birth professional!
We also encourage parents of newborns and infants to come and enrich our group with their experiences and encouragement.

Birth professionals, feel free to bring your business cards, brochures or other items you may have to share and network.

Currently our meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month (11am) at the Starbucks on Yosemite & Maximus. Look for us near the comfortable chairs.

Our groups welcome all interested and non-judging adults, teens and babes in arms. Please make alternative care arrangements for older babies and children. There is no childcare available during our meetings. And for our nursing mothers: our leader is one herself and encourages an atmosphere of acceptance and appreciation for the art.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend

ABOUT THE TEEN GROUP: This group is led by me, a woman who has a nine year old part time & a five month old all the time. I volunteer with the library, work with teens in the community, and provide a safe and reliable place for you to meet others you can relate to and where you can get answers to your questions.

  • I bring my baby to the meetings for explanations and demonstrations.

Our meetings are private (what you talk about with each other will stay at our meetings), with the exception that if you tell us something that causes us to question your safety, we will take the necessary steps to keep you safe.

  • PARENTS (Please take the time to read, thoroughly)

You are welcome and encouraged to contact me with questions and concerns.
I also invite you to check my background. I work with local teens and my information, including finger prints, are on file at the police station. Please let me know if you would like my necessary information.

I will not give medical or legal advice to your daughters, I will only speak about what I know first hand,
and I will guide them to resources both in the community and online.

I believe in the value of the support of the family.
I also believe in the value of each of your daughters and the babies they are growing.
This group will not permit a negative environment, period. In the same way, its purpose is not to preach or impose a belief system. And though we will not prevent discussions where spiritual/moral/familial/etc beliefs are involved, if you wish your daughter to be in a group where your beliefs underlay all discussions, please turn to your local church.

And finally, I ask that you allow your daughters to come to our gatherings without you, unless they specifically ask you to accompany them. The aim of this group is to give teens a place to be with other teens, under the guidance and safety of an adult. As you likely already are well aware, many teens will not open up if their parent is within earshot, especially about tough issues.

Please know that if your daughter brings something to our attention that you need to be made aware of, she will be informed as much and you will be contacted. At the beginning of each meeting we will take note of all in attendance, including their name, contact information, and parent's contact information (your phone and email will be gathered).

At times, we may watch videos and demonstrations that you may determine inappropriate for your under aged daughter; an email and/or phone call will go out to the parents of all members under 18 in advance and your permission will be required.
